The book COVID-19 and Potential for Economic Recovery in the CAREC Region is an inaugural volume of the CAREC Institute Annual Book, published with the Asian Development Bank Institute.

Organized in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank Institute and Asian Development Bank, the second CAREC Institute Research Conference takes place on 11-12 April 2022 on the theme “Resilience and Economic Growth in Times of High Uncertainty in CAREC Region” in a virtual mode.

The CAREC Institute in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) delivered the five-days virtual workshop on Input-Output analysis from April 4 to April 8, 2022.

This initiative aims at bringing together the leading experts, top academics, think tanks, development partners, and CAREC government representatives to exchange views and share opinions on prospects of connectivity and cooperation in the CAREC region.

The CAREC Institute, in collaboration with the China Association of Trade in Services (CATIS), national partner from the People’s Republic of China (PRC), is organizing a multi-session training series on cross-border e-commerce for national technical vocational educational and training (TVET) institutions of CAREC countries and others interested from 5 March 2022 to 2 July 2022, every Saturday, 3-6 pm, Beijing time.

The IMF’s Caucasus, Central Asia, and Mongolia Regional Capacity Development Center (CCAMTAC), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and the CAREC Institute will hold a webinar on Regional Economic Integration on 24 February 2022, 15:00 – 16:30 Almaty time/17:00 – 18:30 Beijing time.

On 23 February 2022, the CAREC Institute in collaboration with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) held a roundtable to discuss findings of the recent research titled “Digital CAREC: Analysis of the Regional Digital Gap.”

The CAREC Institute delivered its first regional water dialogue in partnership with other implementing partners on 10 February 2022.
