Policy Dialogue on Green Financing Mechanism and Challenges in the CAREC Region

The CAREC Institute will host an c to discuss the preliminary findings of its research “Green Financing Mechanism and Challenges in the CAREC Region,” on 2 June 2026, from 16:00 to 18:00 Beijing Time (UTC+8), with simultaneous interpretation available in English and Russian.

This event addresses the urgent challenge facing the CAREC region: intensifying climate risks such as rising temperatures, glacial loss, and extreme weather, coupled with a significant gap in green financing. The discussion is prompted by the severe climate risks confronting the CAREC region and the need to align with global climate action and regional sustainable development goals.

The dialogue will examine global green financing tools and their regional application, the best regional practices, the role of public-private partnerships, and regulatory frameworks supporting green investment.

The event provides a platform for policymakers, development partners, private sector representatives, and experts to share experiences, explore solutions to bridge the investment gap, and contribute to shaping an inclusive green investment ecosystem for the region. It aims to strengthen climate finance capacity, raise awareness of green growth solutions, and support the mobilization of domestic and international capital for low-carbon, resilient development across the CAREC region.
