Workshop on Meeting Environmental Objectives: Role of Energy Pricing Reforms

The CAREC Institute and the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) delivered an online workshop on “Meeting Environmental Objectives through Energy Sector Reforms in Asia and the Pacific: Role of Energy Pricing Reforms and Emissions Reduction,” targeting senior government officials and leading experts from across Asian sub-regions, including CAREC.

Climate Change Regional Policy Dialogue: Learning from COVID19 Pandemic

From 18 to 19 June 2020, the CAREC Institute and the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), in collaboration with Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography (XIEG) of Chinese Academy of Sciences delivered a virtual policy workshop – “Climate Change Regional Policy Dialogue: Learning from COVID-19 Pandemic” – for senior officials from ADB member countries who are leading climate change adaptation, mitigation and financing strategies, to exchange knowledge, best practices and lessons learned on pressing climate change issues at the regional level.

Policy Workshop on e-Commerce Development in CAREC

Workshop on Improving Road Safety in CAREC

The CAREC Institute has conducted an online road safety workshop, in collaboration with the CAREC Program and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), targeting government officials and road safety experts from Mongolia. CAREC Institute Research Workshop

First CAREC Institute Executive Leadership Development Program

Senior government officials of the eight CAREC countries were trained in five key areas: leadership, public sector management, strategic thinking and planning, public sector finance, and negotiation and persuasion.

Workshop on CAREC Institute 2009 Small Research Grants Program

The CAREC Institute Small Research Grants Program aims to encourage research by local researchers and institutes that will advance regional economic cooperation in the priority areas of transport, energy, and trade; and will support interaction among researchers and development of research networks in CAREC participating countries.

Inaugural Meeting of CAREC Research Institutes

The CAREC Institute Research Program 2009-2011 will explore fundamental questions in five areas critical to supporting and deepening regional economic cooperation among CAREC countries.
