CAREC Institute Delegation Visits Partners in Shanghai
From 2 to 3 March 2026, a delegation of the CAREC Institute, led by Dr. Li Kouqing, Deputy Director One of the Institute, paid visits to several institutions in Shanghai. These include China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd., the Children’s Hospital of Fudan University, Shanghai National Accounting Institute, and Huifu Payment Limited. The visits aimed to explore opportunities for future collaboration in their respective fields.
Dr. Li Kouqing stated, “As CAREC member countries work to attract investment and development expertise within the region, the CAREC Institute remains dedicated to connecting relevant resources and supporting the priorities of member countries through its knowledge-related activities and regional network. Engaging with these Shanghai-based institutions, including those in the private sector, is crucial for us to effectively leverage technical expertise and financial resources in advancing our mandate of promoting regional cooperation and integration.”
During the visit, Dr. Li held in-depth exchanges with senior leadership from each visited organization. At China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd. (CPIC), he met with Mr. Zhao Yonggang, Executive Director and President; Ms. Lu Qiaoling, Vice Chairman; and Mr. Yu Bin, Vice President and Chairman of CPIC Property & Casualty Insurance and CPIC Technology. At the Children’s Hospital of Fudan University, he met with Mr. Guo Taisheng, Chief Accountant. At Huifu Payment Limited, he met with Mr. Zhou Ye, Chairman, and Mr. Jin Yuan, Chief Financial Officer. At the Shanghai National Accounting Institute, he met with Mr. Zhang Feng, Party Secretary; Mr. Lu Wenbin, President; and other members of the senior management team.
The discussions during these meetings focused on potential areas of collaboration in research, capacity building, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Key topics included financial market development, healthcare services, accounting and financial management capacity, and cross-border commerce.
