Second Tianshan Forum for Central Asia Economic Cooperation Successfully Convened in Almaty

The Second Tianshan Forum for Central Asia Economic Cooperation was successfully convened on 2–3 November 2026 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, under the theme “Strengthening Resilient Connectivity and Quality Investment in Central Asia.”

The Forum was co-organized by the CAREC Institute and the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the Asian Development Bank as the strategic partner, and subforums co-hosted with the Export-Import Bank of China and the People’s Government of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, respectively. Serik Zhumangarin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan, Lan Fo’an, Minister of Finance of the People’s Republic of China, and other distinguished guests attended the Forum, which brought together more than 300 representatives from CAREC member governments, international organizations, financial institutions, think tanks, and the business sector.
