International Economic and Financial Cooperation Department of the Chinese Ministry of Finance Visits CAREC Institute

On October 23, a delegation led by Chang Junhong, Director-General of the Department of International Economic and Financial Cooperation at the Ministry of Finance of the People’s Republic of China, visited the CAREC Institute headquarters in Urumqi. Director Charymuhammet Shallyyev welcomed the delegation and provided an update on the Institute’s recent achievements and ongoing initiatives.

During the meeting, Li Kouqing, Deputy Director One of the Institute, briefed the delegation on the preparations for the upcoming “Tian Shan Forum for Central Asia Economic Cooperation” and related events. Both sides held in-depth discussions on the organization of these events and prospects for continued collaboration.

Lu Jin, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Economic and Financial Cooperation, and Liu Yan, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Finance of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, also attended the meeting.
