Guoyan Culture and Media Inc. Visits CAREC Institute

On 15 June 2026, a delegation from Guoyan Culture and Media Inc. (Guoyan) paid a visit to the CAREC Institute for exchange discussions. Guoyan is a think tank affiliated with China’s Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC). The delegation was headed by Chairman Zhang Shiyu. Dr. Li Kouqing, Deputy Director One of the CAREC Institute, hosted the meeting.

During the talk, Dr. Li briefed the delegation on current economic trends in the CAREC region and the major opportunities and challenges it faces. He also introduced the CAREC Institute’s key knowledge products and policy dialogue events.

Mr. Zhang then introduced major events organized by the DRC and Guoyan, including the China Development Forum and the China International Fair for Trade in Services, as well as its core annual reports. He proposed strengthening cooperation with the CAREC Institute through jointly organized knowledge-sharing events, policy dialogues, and co-publications. Mr. Wang Yanqing, Vice President of Guoyan, also highlighted potential areas for cooperation.

Moving forward, both sides agreed to explore opportunities for practical collaboration and conduct follow-up communications to deepen bilateral ties.
