Director of CAREC Institute Attends 2026 Global Poverty Reduction and Development Forum

The 2026 Global Poverty Reduction and Development Forum was held in Beijing on 27 May, 2026. Hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China and undertaken by the International Poverty Reduction Center in China, the forum focused on global poverty reduction cooperation and sustainable development. Mr. Charymuhammet Shllyyev, Director of the CAREC Institute, was invited as a representative of the international organization and attended all official sessions of the forum.

During the forum, the Global Partnership for Poverty Alleviation and Development was officially launched, building a regular communication platform for practical poverty reduction cooperation among countries and international organizations.

Mr. Shllyyev also participated in Parallel Forum II, themed Development-Oriented Assistance and Green Development. The forum focused on sustainable poverty reduction, ecological low-carbon development, and industrial empowerment. Participants discussed how development-oriented assistance and ecological industries can complement long-term poverty reduction efforts and provided practical examples of how green industries and ecological agriculture can help to boost rural incomes.

All participants engaged in practical exchanges on green poverty reduction, industrial assistance, and experience sharing, and reached broad agreement. The forum serves as an important platform for global parties to deepen green cooperation and share experience in poverty reduction.
