CAREC Institute Hosts VFP Talk on Climate-Smart Water Management with Dr. Hafiz Abdur Rehman
Dr. Hafiz Abdur Rehman, Chief Technical Advisor at the Punjab Agriculture Department, Pakistan, recently visited the CAREC Institute as the fourth Visiting Fellow under the 2025 Visiting Fellows Program (VFP).
On October 28, the Institute hosted a VFP Talk featuring Dr. Rehman, during which he presented his ongoing research, “Water Accounting and Integrated Water Resources Management: Climate-Smart Pathways for Agroecological Resilience in Pakistan.” The session provided an interactive platform for Dr. Rehman to exchange ideas and engage in in-depth discussions with CI research fellows and specialists.
During his fellowship, Dr. Rehman will be supervised by Dr. Asif Razzaq, Senior Research Specialist of the CAREC Institute. Reflecting on his experience, Dr. Rehman said, “Working with the CAREC Institute team is a great learning experience. I truly appreciate this opportunity and the collaboration through the fellowship program.”
The Institute will continue to promote regional cooperation and knowledge exchange through such collaborative initiatives across the CAREC region.
