CAREC Institute Director Attends 2025 Xinjiang Tacheng Baktu Forum

The 2025 Xinjiang Tacheng Baktu Forum was held on 22 October, bringing together government officials, business leaders, and experts from China, Kazakhstan, and other countries to discuss regional cooperation and future development opportunities.

Under the theme of “Development Through Openness, Shared Prosperity for the Future,” participants engaged in in-depth discussions on strengthening cross-border collaboration in trade, industry, and technology, as well as fostering cultural exchanges.

CAREC Institute Director Charymuhammet Shallyyev delivered a keynote address at the event, emphasizing the Baktu Forum’s role as a crucial platform for enhancing friendly and practical cooperation. He said, “By strengthening international collaboration and regional connectivity, we can unlock the region’s potential as a dynamic hub for economic cooperation and contribute to shared prosperity across Central Asia and beyond.”

During the forum, Director Shallyyev was appointed as a member of the Strategic Development Advisory Committee for Tacheng’s 15th Five-Year Plan, recognizing his expertise and the institute’s commitment to supporting regional development.
