Book Launch – Unlocking the Potential of Fintech in the CAREC Region

The CAREC Institute, in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), is pleased to announce the launch of the book Unlocking the Potential of Fintech in the CAREC Region.

This new book supports ADB’s Strategy 2030 and the CAREC Digital Strategy 2030, highlighting the transformative role of digital innovation in fostering regional financial cooperation, inclusion, and stability.

While the CAREC region has made significant progress in infrastructure, connectivity, and regional value chains, deeper integration in finance, trade, investment, and governance remains essential to fully leverage global advancements. Fintech offers a strategic pathway to bridge these integration gaps, strengthening cross-border capital flows, enabling regional payment systems, and driving financial innovation. However, realizing this potential faces challenges, particularly in modernizing regulatory frameworks and harmonizing cross-border data and regulatory standards.

This event will feature key authors presenting their findings and insights. It will also provide a platform for policy dialogue and knowledge exchange among CAREC countries, development partners, academic institutions, and think tanks. Discussions will focus on mutual recognition agreements, bridging digital and infrastructure gaps, and shaping policies for inclusive, connected, and digitally empowered economies.

The event will feature simultaneous English and Chinese interpretation.
