CAREC Leadership Training Workshop

The CAREC Institute will hold its inaugural CAREC Leadership Training Workshop under the theme “Leveraging AI for Social and Economic Transformation in the CAREC Region.” This two-day workshop will bring together senior government officials from CAREC member countries and AI industry representatives for forward-looking discussions on the critical topics, opportunities, and challenges surrounding the use of AI to drive social and economic transformation across the region.

Workshop sessions will explore global AI trends, development trajectories, and future perspectives, with a focus on building an enabling environment for AI and harnessing its potential for sustainable development. Participants will discuss practical applications in areas such as inclusive progress, digital trade, healthcare, and logistics. The program features expert insights and live demonstrations of AI equipment and platforms. The workshop will conclude with CAREC country delegations charting pathways for regional AI collaboration, identifying shared priorities, promoting skills development, and fostering technology partnerships.

Expected Outcomes

• Policymakers will gain insights into emerging AI trends, concepts, and policy frameworks to support informed, strategic decision-making.
• Participants will develop a clearer vision for the responsible integration of AI technologies across industries within their countries.
• The workshop will foster enhanced coordination among CAREC member countries on regional AI policy development and alignment.
