Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic: 25–26 June 2009

The workshop brought together grantees under the CAREC Institute 2009 Small Research Grants Program to

• review selected proposals and seek peer input,
• help establish connections among researchers,
• share experiences and outputs from the 2007 Small Research Grants Program, and
• agree guidelines for final reports.

The CAREC Institute Small Research Grants Program aims to encourage research by local researchers and institutes that will advance regional economic cooperation in the priority areas of transport, energy, and trade; and will support interaction among researchers and development of research networks in CAREC participating countries.
