| The project will improve the efficiency and reliability of heat and electricity supply in Mongolia by rehabilitating the district heating network in Ulaanbaatar and installing heat and electricity metering facilities. It will have five components: district heating rehabilitation, heat metering, a demonstration project in the residential sector, electricity metering, and consulting services. |

The CAREC Program mobilizes and coordinates investment and technical assistance in support of regional economic cooperation in the priority areas of transport, trade facilitation, trade policy, and energy.
