Energy Emergency Assistance Project – Additional Financing
Summary:The additional financing will increase the volume and reliability of Kyrgyz Republic's energy supply, especially thermal power in the winter season, thereby supporting implementation of the Energy Emergency Mitigation Action Plan. It will help finance costs associated with (i) providing equipment, materials, and spare parts to increase thermal power generation and heat output at the Bishkek combined heat and power plant for the 2009-2010 winter; and (ii) corresponding scale-up of the support for project management.
